Civic Talk: The Future of the MTA
What does the future hold for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority? With fare increases as of June 2009, a change in leadership on the horizon, the current fiscal crisis, and multiple capital projects underway, the options for the MTA's future are vast but uncertain. Join Assemblyman Richard Brodsky; Council Member Gail Brewer; Nicole Gelinas, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute; and Paul Steely White, Executive Director of Transportation Alternatives, as they discuss the prospects for the MTA, moderated by Henry Stern, Director of New York Civic.
