Staten Island Open Space Forum

6:30pm - 9:00pm Protectors of Pine Oak Woods invites you and your group to attend an important public presenation on the status of Staten Island's open space parcels. These parcels are now incorporated in the New York State Open Space Conservation Plan, a blueprint that recommends and prioritizes the purchase of undeveloped, natural area parcels by the city or state of New York. Representatives of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will be on hand to present and discuss the plan in detail. Geographic maps, power point slides and other documentation will be used to quickly educate New Yorkers interested in Staten Island open space preservation. The free open meeting is Thursday, March 26, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Staten Island Zoo auditorium. The zoo is located at 614 Broadway.
