New Directions in Brownfields Conference

"New Directions in Brownfields: Building Sustainable Communities Through Stronger City, State, and Federal Partnerships," a local conference with national impact focused on sustainable community renewal, will take place at the National Grid Conference Center, 1 Metro Tech Plaza, Brooklyn, New York City.

At the forum, New York Secretary of State Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez will announce the Place-Based Regional Collaboration Pilot, a new initiative that builds on the state's innovative Brownfield Spotlight Communities program.

Other speakers include New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Pete Grannis, and David Lloyd, Director of the US Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Brownfields and Land Remediation, John Frece, Director, EPA's Smart Growth Office, and Sharon Pugh, Policy Analyst, Office of Policy and Budget, Federal Transit Administration, US Department of Transportation.
