PRESENTATION: This presentation will cover the results of a study that examined the effects of increases in gasoline prices, population and employment on public transit ridership. The findings, based on New Jersey Transit commuter rail ridership data, support the hypothesis that "demand follows supply," indicating that changes in miles of transit supplied will affect the demand for transit.
