Over 100 business leaders, environmental experts and political leaders from the United States and the Netherlands are confirmed to speak at a forum on water issues, focusing mainly on local water issues to the New York region and Holland. Topics include protecting coastal cities from rising sea levels, water access rights in the 21st Century, and the increasingly important connection between environmental stewardship, economic development and local quality of life. Speakers include Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Lisa Jackson, Administrator of the EPA, Ahmed Aboutaleb, Mayor of Rotterdam, and CEO's from transnational corporations such as United Water, ING Direct, GE, ITT, and IBM. Local leaders include: Andrew Genn, VP NYC Economic Development Corporation, Chris Ward, Executive Director or the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Robin Shlaff, Director of the DEC, New York State.
