The goal of the Environmental Stakeholder Roundtable on Wind Power is to provide a forum to address questions that have been raised relative to wind power generating facilities operating or planned for New York. The meeting will be organized around the following topics: (1) Wind Technology Update; (2) Wind Power Markets, the Renewable Portfolio Standard, and Economic Costs and Benefits; (3) Environmental Impacts; and (4) Local Decision Making. Each topic will be addressed by a panel of state agency representatives and academic or private sector experts.

The meeting is open to all but we do ask that those interested in attending send an email to EMEP@nyserda.org. This will allow for the distribution of any additional information that may be developed prior to the meeting. In addition, please note that lunch will not be served during the meeting, but the schedule provides time to visit the numerous vendors in and around the
Empire State Plaza.
