The Rye Nature Center will again host over two-dozen environmental organizations and green businesses for an Earth Day Celebration. The event is open to the public at no charge. It features exhibitors, demonstrations, lectures, guided hikes, activities and a showing of student artwork.
Participants can learn to improve their own yards and households from a wide variety of speakers and workshops on topics ranging from organic lawn care, nature-friendly household products and green investing. The event will also focus globally with discussions on hot environmental topics in Westchester County, environmental literacy and global warming.
There is no charge for the event which is suitable for all ages. Pre-registration is not required. It is held at Rye Nature Center, 873 Boston Post Rd. (US Route 1), Rye, NY.
