As a local member of the Transportation Committee, Land Use and Education and the Committees of the Queens Community Board 8, Nily Rozic has been an influential figure and advocate for the environment.  Rozic's her initiatives to ensure a greener future will make her a valuable asset to the Assembly.

During her time as Chief of Staff to Brian Kavanagh, representative of New York's 74^th District, Rozic has helped introduce various environmental bills into the assembly.  These include a bill to improve energy efficiency of residential properties and a law to keep mercury out of the waste stream.  She has also worked on one of NYLCV's concerns, the Child Safe Products Act, which was passed in the Assembly in April of 2012.  Rozic will continue to be an influential defender for a sustainable New York.
