NYLCV's General Election Campaign Starts NowSubmitted by Dan Hendrick on Thu, 2012-09-13 16:32.
Yesterday's primary was the warm-up act.
With Washington stuck in the partisan mire, this year's state elections are particularly important for the environment. With Congressional leaders unable to agree on much of anything, the role of states like New York as laboratories for innovation has only grown in importance. That's why NYLCV will be pulling out all the stops in our general election efforts. We made our first round of environmental endorsements back in June, and our support for everyone who won their primaries will remain steadfast through the general election. Getting these pro-environment candidates elected is Job #1 here at NYLCV, and you'll be hearing a lot more from us soon about why they deserve your support and your vote. New York's environmental future depends not only on our elected officials ... it also depends on you as an engaged citizen and active voter.
