Westchester Homeowners Get Free Energy AuditsSubmitted by Elizabeth Mooney on Thu, 2010-09-02 16:21.
Using a federal stimulus grant, Westchester County has just launched a program to provide up to 2,000 homeowners with professional energy audits for free, according to the Journal News.
The program is a collaboration between Westchester County, the Westchester-Putnam Workforce Investment Board and the Business Council of Westchester. "This is a great example of people coming together...to put stimulus dollars to work for the benefit of homeowners as sell as people who have been displaced from their jobs," Lawrence Gottlieb, Westchester County director of economic development, said. |
