No Work For The Legislature This Week After All

Submitted by Revell Schulte on Wed, 2010-07-14 12:52.

Despite all the work that has yet to be finished in Albany, it looks like the Legislature will not be returning to session to complete the budget, as was planned on Thursday, due to the death of Sen. Thomas Morahan.

According to the Ithaca Journal, when the Senate does eventually resume its session, it will be faced with many long overdue and unresolved issues. These include the budget, which was originally due April 1, as well as the environmental goals and other legislation NYLCV hoped would be taken up this year.

However, there is a bright side to the seemingly endless delay in this process. Now you have the time to take action and contact your legislators about the environmental issues important to you.
