Thanks to an exciting partnership between The Black Eyed Peas, Rethink, Green for All and the League of Conservation Voters, NYLCV has been helping to engage music lovers on environmental issues in the metro region. 

The partnership puts an environmental imprimatur on the 23 U.S. stops of the Black Eyed Peas' Energy Never Dies (E.N.D.) tour. At each concert, a unique recycling initiative with Rethink, a fabric and apparel company that produces sustainable fabric from recycled plastic bottles, is featured. 

In addition to supporting this recycling initiative, LCV and Green For All are conducting community outreach and educational events, including conversations around jobs and opportunities in the green industry with concert goers.

NYLCV volunteers collected petition signatures at Madison Square Gardenwill.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas said, "From creating new sustainable products out of recycled bottles to capping harmful global warming pollution, the actions and policies that protect the planet for future generations are the same as those that create new jobs and economic opportunities. The Peas are proud to be getting the word out about these important efforts, and we hope everyone coming to the shows and visiting our website will get involved and take action."

In recent days, NYLCV volunteers staffed booths during the Black Eyed Peas' concerts at Madison Square Garden and the Nassau Coliseum, donning t-shirts made from recycled bottles.
