Rob Astorino's Environmental OpportunitySubmitted by Andy Snyder on Thu, 2009-11-12 16:18.
As political commentators continue to discuss the signals that last week's election results will have on next year's elections, candidate-elects are focused on the here and now.
As Astorino and his team begin the transition process, Greg Clary's column in the Journal News highlights the opportunity that Astorino has to continue the environmental accomplishments of his predecessor. Astorino has commented positively on Spano's land preservation successes, which include gaining public access to waters near Milton Harbor in Rye and protecting 654 acres in the Angle Fly Preserve in Somers.
