Although the Hudson River looks a lot cleaner, there are still contaminants in the water that can be harmful to public health.
According to the Daily Gazette, the main concern is to ensure do not or limit their intake of fish caught in the river. Contaminants like toxic polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) move through the food chain and accumulate in many species of Hudson River fish.
