Chris Ward Named New Port Authority Executive Director

Christopher O. Ward, a longtime NYLCV board member, has been named executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey by Gov. David Paterson.

Christopher O. WardChristopher O. WardWard is currently the managing director of the General Contractors Association of New York, and previously worked for the Port Authority from 1997 to 2002 as director of port development. He is also a past commissioner of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

“Building on the Port Authority’s legacy, I look forward to working with Chairman Coscia and the Port Authority board to continue to serve the infrastructure needs of the state and the region moving forward," Ward said in a press release.
