New Mets Stadium Will Be "Green"

Submitted by Nana-Yaw Acheampong on Tue, 2008-03-18 18:02.

The new baseball stadium being built for the New York Mets will feature a variety of environmentally conscious features said Am newspaper today.

Citi Field, which is rising in 2009, will be built of recycled steel and cement made of coal combustion products. The park will use energy-efficient lights and water conservation feature bathrooms with hands free water faucets, automatic flush toilets. Also, the new administration building will have a green roof.

While this type of advancement will cost money up front, by conserving energy it will over the long haul save the team money.
