Will Spitzer Pan Broadwater For His Image?Submitted by Dan Hendrick on Mon, 2008-01-07 15:16.
Gov. Spitzer's missteps in 2007 might mean he is more likely to oppose the Broadwater natural gas barge proposal, according to Newsday. Although he has not taken a position on the natural gas processing plant that would be placed in the Long Island Sound, the departments of State and Environmental Protection will have to decide this year whether the barge is an acceptable use of New York State coastal waters. In related news, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is likely to release its final environmental impact statement on Broadwater very soon. |
