Gore Moves into Green NYC BuildingSubmitted by Jessica Greenbaum on Thu, 2007-11-15 12:12.
The Associated Press reports that Generation Investment Management, Al Gore's environmentally friendly investment firm, plans to open an office in the Bank of American Tower, a green skyscraper lining Manhattan's midtown. The Tower, a joint venture of the Durst Organization and Bank of America, seeks to obtain a top platinum designation from the U.S. Green Building Council. Founded in 2004 by Gore and partner David Blood, Generation Investment Management is poised to sign a lease agreement for space on the 48th floor; the company could not have found a more suitable home. As Peter S. Knight, President of U.S. Operations notes, "the building is on the cutting edge of sustainable technology [and it] epitomizes our philosophy." |
