Newsday Backs Brookhaven Open Space Plan

An editorial in Newsday expresses support for Brookhaven's plan to create a fund to preserve as much as 500 acres of open space. The Town Board unanimously approved an environmental impact statement that would enable the town to preserve open space from development.

Brookhaven's Town Board is expected to approve the open space fund, and it is expected to appear on the ballot in November. Read more about the Brookhaven Open Space Fund here.
