Bloomberg Gets Green Energy Ball RollingSubmitted by Josh Abram on Tue, 2007-06-12 14:19.
Mayor Bloomberg announced the city's plan to expand its use of alternative energy sources, starting with changing the way the city's own buildings are powered. The plan calls for solar panels on municipal buildings, which would be heated by oil containing biofuels. The project would later include expanding the city's underwater turbine program, which provides electricity by using hydroelectric power without dams. Read more about the mayor's proposal HERE.
