Hot Air Over Wind Budget

Submitted by Sabrina Gusmorino on Thu, 2007-06-07 12:11.

Last night, at a LIPA board of trustees meeting, Chairman Kevin Law and Chief Exec Richard Kessel got into a 'long winded' debate (pardon the pun) about the release of the costs for the proposed offshore wind farm.

According to Newsday, Law wanted to release the projected budget for the project to the press and Kessel disagreed. No one is quite sure how much the project will cost in the end, but someone leaked that the target cost was $600 million, with a range of $450 million to $900 million.
