Caithness Development Legally Stalled

Riverhead -- State Supreme Court Judge Spinner ordered that the Brookhaven Town board did not follow legal procedure when deciding to move ahead with the Caithness project, a 350-megawatt planned commissioned by LIPA.

Brookhaven representatives plan to file a notice of appeal immediately.

LIPA executive, Richard Kessel, is still optimistic that Caithness will be in operation by summer '09.
