NYLCV staff reports that the Grannis supporters were out in full force at today's Senate EnCon confirmation hearing, donning green ribbons on their lapels. Opponents (i.e., sportsmen) were also on hand.

In his prepared statement, Grannis laid out the following priorities for DEC:

• Rebuilding the agency
• Climate change
• Dam safety
• Smart growth and sustainability
  
• Environmental justice
• Conservation

Also in his testimony, he focused on his hunting and fishing credentials.

Capitol Confidential is reporting that "the senators ran out of time and it looks like they're going to postpone the continuation of their grilling of Grannis to next week."
