Appointed in 2005 by Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy as an MTA Board Member. He serves as a member of the Capital Program Oversight, Long Island Rail Road/Long Island Bus and Bridge and Tunnels committees
From 1975 to 1985, he served the New York State Senate Committee on Transportation and the Legislative Commission on Critical Transportation Choices in various capacities, including as Chief Counsel to each from 1983 to 1985.
Active member of numerous transportation, housing and related commissions and councils, including the Brookhaven Open Space Council, the Long Island Expressway/HOV Task Force, the Nassau County Transportation Commission, the State Commissioner of Transportation Master Plan Advisory Committee, the Nassau and Suffolk County Workforce Housing Commissions, the Nassau Hub Advisory Council, and the Central Pine Barrens Advisory Commission.
1974 graduate of the State University of New York at Cortland and holds a 1977 J.D. from the Albany Law School of Union University.
