Denise M Richardson

  •  Managing Director of the General Contractors Association of New York, a trade association that represents New York City's unionized, heavy construction/public works contractors. Ms. Richardson has over 25 years of construction contract and financial management administration experience in both the public and private sectors.
  • Prior to the joining the GCA as the Deputy Managing Director in 2006, Ms. Richardson served as Deputy Commissioner at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. From 1999 to 2003, Ms. Richardson served as the procurement officer for MTA/New York City Transit's capital construction program.
  • Ms. Richardson began her career in New York City government as a budget analyst with the New York City Department of Sanitation, working on capital projects including the rehabilitation of the city's marine transfer station network and upgrades to the Fresh Kills landfill.
  • Ms. Richardson holds a B.A. from Simmons College and a Master's Degree in Public Affairs and Urban and Regional Planning from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
